The Brief:
In April of 1988, Jesse Johnson released his third solo album: ‘Every Shade Of Love‘. The first single released was “Love Struck”. This 45 contains the 7″ version of the single plus, on the B-Side, an extended version of the song “Do Yourself A Favor” which was originally released on the ‘Shockadelica’ LP. The song dates back to 1975 when Prince was involved in the 94 East sessions with Pepe Willie. “Love Struck” was the last Jesse Johnson single to crack the Hot 100.
