The Brief:
Jesse Johnson returned to the charts in 1986 with his sophomore solo album ‘Shockadelica‘. The first single from the album brought Sylvester Stewart, better known as Sly Stone, out of retirement to duet with Jesse on “Crazay”. The B-Side was a cool non-album cut called “Drive Yo Cadillac”.

Thanks for posting the B-side, which I had never heard.
Sly is a bit of a touchstone for me. Every time I see film of that band playing I think that the world is gonna be all right. It isn’t, of course, and even Sly isn’t OK, but I just sense the potential.

one really nice thing about the heyday of the Minneapolis Sound was all the quality b-sides we got on the single releases, I miss that a lot
