The Brief:
In the early 80′s Jane Wiedlin played rhythm guitar in a band with Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock, Charlotte Caffey and Kathy Valentine. You may have heard of them, they were known as The Go-Go’s. In 1984 Jane left the band and began pursuing a solo career. In 1988 she released her second solo album titled ‘Fur’. “Rush Hour” was the first single from the LP and became Jane’s biggest seller. On its way up the charts to the Top 10, “Rush Hour” was the Power Pick/Sales song of the week on 6/25/88 at #21.

always loved her voice since I first heard her refrain on Our Lips Are Sealed And i thought she’d be more than a one hit wonder. Rush Hour is classic pop. Inside A Dream should have followed suit to the Top 10 as well! Such a disgrace!
I only know this tune by her and the tune she did with Sparks, “Cool Places”
you should check out Inside a Dream. If you like this you’d like that too.
Thanks for posting this. She was always my favorite Go-Go and I loved her solo stuff.
you’re welcome Michael
Thank You for this one. I love the Red Mix!!! I hope you feature Bananarama’s only vinyl remixes.
Thank you very much…
