Today we are going to step back to the late 70s and take a listen to Hot Chocolate’s Top 10 song on the Hot 100 and Hot Black Singles charts. The band eventually signed with other labels and released their fourth album, ‘Every 1′s A Winner’, in 1978. The title track appears on this 1978 record as a 7:17 12” Disco workout.

Thanks for posting some yummy and milky 70s Disco…You Sexy Thing, you!
Hot Chocolate is a staple on the UK charts from the mid 70s to the early 80s, even though they only have a few hits across the pond.
Surprisingly while this was one of their biggest US hits, it didn’t even make the Top 10 in the UK!
So You Win Again is their one and only UK #1, and is my favourite HC single!
I know it’s a play on a song title but, me and sexy in the same sentence? I’m the one that made it necessary for sexy to be brought back by Timberlake! LOL glad you enjoyed the post Ric
Thank you for this post!! I love, love, love this song!!! What a great jam.
you are welcome!
Gotta love this little number, can’t dismiss the memory how Errol brown looked in those tight leather trousers, haunts me to this day haha.
Love your site and all the hard work and effort, so appreciated so thought i’d drop a quick line to say thanks. Keep up the GREAT work
Thanks Alex and you’re quite welcome, drop by often and post a comment, it’s much appreciated.
Wow
what a great deal of neat vinyl-rips.
do you have a documentation on how to rip to get this quality @ home ??…
greets from holland.
No documentation per se, just the list on each post of the equipment and software I use, perhaps I will sit down one day and write the process out
