The Brief:
“Cry” was promoted with one of the most memorable music videos of the 80’s. Using a technique known as analog cross-fading which was a forerunner of the digital technique known as morphing. The song itself entered the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart on July 20, 1985 at #90. It reached a high point of #16 and slipped off the chart after a 17 week stint.
