The Brief:
For some reason, the Top 40 didn’t much like Georgio and his music. As a matter of fact, “Sexappeal” was the highest charting song Georgio had on the Billboard Hot 100 at #58. The R&B and Dance charts were much nicer to Georgio as he amassed four Top 10 hits on the Dance chart and put 4 songs in the Top 40 on the R&B chart. “Tina Cherry” was by far his most successful song chartwise.

Poor Giorgio had it tough. Often seen as a cheaper Prince clone, and also with the Parental Advisory label already firmly implemented. I’m sure these affected his radio play and chart sales.
This is my favourite single of his.
