Never knew that Beethoven is on the flip-side of I Need A Man…two singles for the price of one…value for money indeed!
Thanks Richie!
And Eurythmics is one of those acts whose albums are so rich in singles-material that they can afford to target different regions with different lead singles. They started doing this from their Revenge album (UK – When Tomorrow Comes, US – Missionary Man), then the above-mentioned Savage album, and then the We Too Are One album (UK – Revival, US – Don’t Ask Me Why).
They seem to release their rockier singles in the US first and the more electronic ones in the UK.
You’re welcome Ric
Thank you! Too many Eurythmics’ singles remain unreleased in a digital format.
You’re welcome Christian
I’m with Ric… good value on this one, thank you! I’ve got the UK “Beethoven” single, but not “I Need a Man”…
You’re welcome Dave
The group really did a great job of extending themselves beyond “Sweet Dreams” with singles like this one and “Would I Lie To You?”. And you really couldn’t see the great cleavage coming either.
Thanks so much.
Annie was always hot in her own special way, this 12″ cover is especially nice!
I love her drag queen alter-ego in the Savage-era videos!
Thank you!
Thank you, Richie! A very rare Eurythmics treat! As already mentioned, many Eurythmics 12″ mixes are still only on vinyl. Unfortunately, we didn’t get them all released with the remasters back in 2005. Thank you for the hard work in bringing all this excellent music in excellent quality (FLAC). It’s much appreciated!!!
Thanks Richie as this mix of Beethoven was not included on the reissue in 2005.
