The B Side:

The Brief:
Enchantment toured and played together for the better part of the early 1970’s before getting a record contract and releasing their first LP in 1977. The 45 single in today’s post comes from the last LP the band recorded ‘Utopia’. The song is a “quiet storm” type ballad that I used to play when I was on the air at my college radio station, WABR, in 1983.

never heard this before but I love my smoove grooves….Shirley Murdock (As We Lay), Vesta Williams (Suddenly It’s Magic/Congratulations), Pepsi Riley (Thanks For My Child) and Klymaxx (I’d Still Say Yes) are just some of the classic quiet storms that stirs me up!
Like it that you’re giving this genre it’s deserved attention.
Thanks Richie!
You’re welcome Ric
Nice one
– It’s from their last released 1983 album ‘Utopia’. I spent quite a small fortune to buy that japanese cd release. It’s a shame that they only released a great single in 1985 (Feel Like Dancin’) but no album followed. Do you happen to have Feel Like Dancin’ ? That’s a great, much underrated track.
No, this is the only Enchantment I have, don’t think I ever heard Feel Like Dancin’
