The Brief:
Elisa Fiorillo won the Star Search talent show on US TV in 1983. Her second album, ‘I Am’, was recorded at Prince’s Paisley Park recording studio with Prince contributing to the production and songwriting duties on several songs. One of those songs, “On The Way Up”, is featured on this 12″ in several different mixes.

So many great singles along the way, but never really made it as big as she should.
How Can I Forget You was especially overlooked, while Who Found Who and this single surely are Top 10 material.
The Jellybean and Prince didn’t quite give her the boost she so deserved. At least I help in contributing to her sales when I bought this in 1990!
