The Brief:
Born Deborah Lynn Thurmond in Memphis, Tennessee, Deborah Allen decided, at the young age of 17, to pursue a country music career. She recorded and released 3 albums from 1980 to 1984. In 1987, she released her fourth album, ‘Telepathy’. The title track to that song was penned by Prince under one of his many pseudonyms, Joey Coco. Today’s post is the double A-Side 7” promo released to radio in support of the single along with the commercial 12” featuring the Club Mix, LP Version and Instrumental of “Telepathy”. What!?!? This song did not enter any of Billboard’s major US charts? Unbelievable.
