The Brief:
Doesn’t matter which side you drop the needle on this record, you’re going to hear some infectious, early 80’s R&B that will get your feet tappin’, your hips shakin’ and your ass wigglin’. Both tracks on this 12” were charting songs for the Dazz Band from their 1983 LP ‘Joystick’. Each side was mixed by F. Byron Clark, a recording engineer who worked with many artists including Morris Day, Patrice Rushen, Mavis Staples and Tina Turner.
