The Brief:
The first single from Cher’s 1979 LP “Prisoner”. The song also appeared on the soundtrack to the movie “Roller Boogie”. The b-side is from Cher’s 1978 LP “Take Me Home”. Both appear here in extended versions. The only chart success that “Hell On Wheels” achieved was hitting #59 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was her last hit for Casablanca Records. The song was written by Bob Esty and Michele Aller. Larry Emerine was at the controls for the remix.

i once got on a wrong bus and ended up in a different town i never knew well
after finding the times of the direct into town trains – i found i’d a couple of hours 2 kill
anywho ff to me – in a Library and for some maaad reason reading a Very in depth bio of her
”I HATE DISCO” was one of the more memorable quotes from Cher
and
