The Brief:
Big Audio Dynamite was formed in 1984 by former Clash guitarist Mick Jones. ‘No. 10, Upping St.’ was their second album and featured a reuniting of Jones with ex-Clash bandmate Joe Strummer. “C’Mon Every Beatbox” was the first single from this album. The A-Side had no real chart success but, the B-Side, “Badrock City” had some success in the U.S. It appeared on the Hot Black Singles chart on February 14, 1987 and climbed to #66 during a 7 week stay.
