The A Side:
Kiss (Art Of Noise Mix) 8:09
The B Side:
Kiss (Battery Mix) 8:16
Kiss (7″ Version) 3:30
The Brief:
Art Of Noise’s one-off collaboration with Tom Jones provided the group with their biggest mainstream hit. The song hit #5 on the UK Singles Chart, which was higher than Prince charted with the original version in that country. You wankers just have no musical taste do you? LOL

thank’s for this one this is a great cover but still I prefer the original!!
you’re welcome Jose
No one can beat the brilliant original, but we can’t fault Tom for trying. Among his 60s peers, he is the one who kept with the times well into the 80s and 90s, always choosing cool songs to cover (this, Yazoo’s Situation and Talking Heads’ Burning Down The House) and dabbling in clubland with great remixes.
“I think I better dance now!”
that he did
You wouldn’t believe it, but it’s pretty often that you would come across someone who thought this was a Tom Jones original – seriously!
And thanks
yeah, sadly, I can believe that
Not the best single from AON…but always a good. The original from Prince is naturally much much better. Nevertheless thanks for this. Cheers & best regards from germany
you’re welcome MJK!
great rip, thank you
you’re welcome dj_o
I was always gutted that this got higher in the charts then the original, oh well there is no accounting for taste
although this version had a bit of a novelty record feel to it, I don’t mean to take away from the brilliance of Art Of Noise, the stuff they put out over the years was brilliant
Great Prince cover, nice to hear the different mixes, thanks! But I do agree with the previous comments, nothing can beat the original.
thanks Art!
