The Brief:
The second lead singer of Prince’s “6” girl groups to go solo was Apollonia. After leaving, the Prince camp in 1985, she appeared in the TV series Falcon Crest before releasing her self-titled solo LP in 1988. The album was primarily a high energy dance affair and produced three singles that all charted on the Billboard Hot Dance/Disco chart. The album contained songs produced and written by multiple people. One contributor of note was Michael Jonzun, brother of Maurice Starr, who was well known for his work with Jonzun Crew, New Edition and New Kids On The Block.

Thanks for posting this; I liked it enough to buy it for real from iTunes. My musical tastes had definitely shifted by 1988, so this album went completely under my radar.
