The Brief:
“How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore?” was originally released by Prince as the b-side to the “1999” single in 1982. Basically, a throw away track, the song has since been covered by Stephanie Mills in 1983, Joshua Redman in 1998 and most recently by Alicia Keys. This 12” features Alicia’s version, a Top 30 R&B hit, as remixed by the Neptunes.
